Applications are invited from the eligible local residents of the Golaghat District only for Selection as Para Legal Volunteers (PLVs) in the following format. The selection shall be made on the basis of viva-voce test comprising 30 (thirty marks).

Name Of Posts: Para Legal Volunteers (PLVs)

Age: Minimum 18 (Eighteen) years as on 01.01.2020.

ELIGIBILITY :

a. PLVs shall be literate, preferably matriculate, with a capacity for overall comprehension.

b. Teachers (Including retired teachers).

c. Retired Government servants and senior citizens.

d. M.S.W. Students and Teachers.

e. Anganwadi Workers.

f. Doctors/Physicians.

g. Students & Law Students (until they enroll as lawyers).

h. Members of non-political, service-oriented NGOs and Clubs.

i. Members of Women Neighbourhood Groups, Maithri Sanghams and other Self-help Groups including marginalized/ vulnerable groups.

j. Educated prisoners with good behavior, serving long term sentences in prisons.

k. Any other person whom the District Legal Services Authority or Taluk Legal Services Committee deems fit to be identified as PLVs.

Salary: The work of PLVs do not carry any salary, remuneration or wages except honorarium fixed by the Assam State Legal Services Authority or National Legal Services Authority from time to time which is at present Rs.500/- (Rupees five hundred only) per day for performing of any legal services activity.

HOW TO APPLY:  

• The Intending Applicant shall fill up the Enclosed Format in his/her own hand legibly or by typing in Block Capital Letters.
• The candidate shall annex self-attested photocopy of the relevant testimonials regarding his/her age, Educational Qualification, Nationality & Residential Status,
• The top of the envelope containing the Application shall be superscribed in BOLD LETTERS “APPLICATION FOR PARA LEGAL VOLUNTEER UNDER D.L.S.A GOLAGHAT”.
• The Application Form shall be affixed with 3(three) Passport size photographs of the Candidate of which one should be affixed in the format and the rest 2(two) photographs shall be Enclosed with the Application Form.
• One self-addressed envelope with Rs. 10/- (Rupees Ten only) postal stamp shall also have to be submitted along with testimonials.
• The Application must be addressed to the Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Golaghat, Magistrate Colony, Stadium Road, PO & Dist- Golaghat, PIN-785621, Assam.

Last Date: 15 (fifteen) days from the date of publication till office hour i.e., 5 PM.
