CRIS Recruitment 2019 Details : 

The Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS) is an Autonomous Organization under the Ministry of Railways. It develops and manages critical Information Technology applications of the Indian Railways, including the well-known Passenger Reservation System, Freight Operation Information System, Unreserved Ticketing System among others. CRIS possesses state-of-the-art infrastructure at its offices in New Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Chennai, and Secunderabad. 

Name Of the Posts :  Assistant Software Engineers (ASE) 

No Of posts : 50 nos (UR-19, EWS-05, OBC-14, SC-08, ST-04)

Educational Qualifications : BE/ B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering or Computer Science or Computer Technology or Information Technology or Computer Science & Information Technology or Computer Applications, or MCA or B.Sc (Computer Science – 4 Year degree course). Relevant Degree from an AICTE/ UGC recognized institute, or equivalent qualification as per Govt. of India rules, with min 60% marks or equivalent CGPA (55% for SC/ST/PWD candidates); and GATE Scores as specified. Candidates with ME/M.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering can also apply provided they possess the required GATE 2019 scores. 

Scale of Pay (CDA) : 7th CPC Level 7 + DA and other Allowances as per CRIS Rules (Basic Pay at the beginning of the scale would be approx. Rs. 44900 per month) 

Age : 22 To 27 Years (as on last date for submission of complete application; relaxable by 3 yrs for OBC – NCL and 5 yrs for SC/ST) 

MODE OF SELECTION : The GATE 2019 Score would be considered for placing the candidates in order of merit (in case two candidates have the same GATE 2019 score, then the one with the higher All India Rank would be placed higher in the order of merit; in case two candidates have same GATE 2019 score and All India Rank, then the one with the earlier date of birth would be placed higher in the order of merit. In case of tie in date of birth also, candidate with higher marks/ percentage in the qualifying examination will be placed higher in the order of merit). Candidates will be considered in this order of merit only. 

APPLICATION FEE : Application fee is Rs. 1000/- (Rupees One Thousand only) + GST (18%) + Bank charges (as applicable) for General/ OBC-NCL candidates. There is no application fee for SC/ST/PWD and women candidates.
